More About Celebrations

Similar to Christmas, Spring Festival in China is a massive traditional festival for families. People will get back to their hometown and spend time with their families and friends no matter where they are.

<Family Reunion Dinner>

It might be the most important day for families throughout the year. On the last day of the twelfth moon in the Chinese lunar calendar, each family will get together and have a family reunion dinner. People will enjoy the food and drink in abundance. The most usual food should be chicken, fish, and dumplings.

<New Years Visit>

During the Spring Festival, people will visit their close relatives and best friends, to express greetings and share happiness. The young generation will receive the red envelop from their elder generation, while it is a traditional blessing from the families. We believe that a good beginning will make a whole year become smoothly.

<Lion Dance in Guangzhou City>

In some southern cities in China, Lion Dace is one of the traditional activities during the spring festival. It is regarded as a mascot by the Chinese, and the Lion Dance is believed to bring good luck. In traditional folk tales, the lion is the lucky symbol to drive away from the evil spirits and protect people.
